I'd rather see him out there having fun with it, then babying it in the driveway to be honest.

I still dont understand why the air tank is in such a spot... was it not ment to be dragging rollpan? :dunno:Yeah I don't like that spot either, but with the way everything is setup, the gas tank is way in the back and will never see the ground again (*cough*mike*cough*) and I guess Vic didn't want the tank and/or compressors in the back on the inside, so to eliminate space he tucked everything under and behind the rollpan

I thought i heard u need a diving license to get those tanks...Some scuba tanks hold like 5,000 psi, some more, some less i believe. I dont know much about it, but most people get them refilled every few weeks, every week, it all depends on how switch happy you are.
And yes you're correct, you need some type of diving license/permit to get them filled, BUT, if you know someone they will do it, or some places if you show them your setup on your truck and tell them you are NOT using it for diving they might be nice enough to do it for you. Just gotta know people or be lucky I guess ;)

Also you dont need any kinda license/permit to get the scuba tanks filled . The tanks just have to be up to date on there inspection.

Ya that thing was made to drag the shit out of, just not the rollpan. It lays frame so theres no need to tear shit up. Plates, balls, frame, etc can be put on there to drag with ease. I never babyed it, and I've got a ton of videos of me dragging the shit out of it. When the frame is layed out (to drag) the tank/rollpan dont come close to dragging at all. :nah: Oh well thats just me. Enjoy it, it's all your to have fun with how ever you want now. I'm starting my next project this weekend. :hooray:

You dont have to be licenced to fill. I'm not and I had to fill those damn things every 2 weeks or so. And as switch happy as Kenny is it'll be every couple days. Thats why I got rid of the scuba setup. It's a waste of time and money, IMO. 2 scuba tanks, a 5gal air tank, comps (yes Mikey had an AZ), = no room for shit. It's fine in the back of an s10 bed, but in a blazer?!?!?! :nah:

How much is it to fill a tank I could see it getting annoying after a while?

It was $6 a bottle (x2), every 2 weeks. In no time you've spent what it would cost to by a comp or 2.

Who cares atleast you dont hear the annoying compressors turning on, and you can play and play and play for a few days and not run out of air.
If I play and play my tank will run out and I'll be stuck until it fills up.

Then you can drive away, LOL. If you run out of air in the scuba tank, and your not anywhere near a shop to fill them your S.O.L. like the titanic.:titanic:

I will have my AZ as a backup, just incase I run out of scuba. So I see it as a plus, I can hit switches for a few minutes and not worry about turning the compressor on and waiting for it to refill and hear the screeching from it.
My AZ is fuckin loud lol, I hate it.

You have to take them out of the truck to get them filled. they (most) wont touch them while their in the brackets. Also, sometime they dunk test them to make sure theres no cracks.

Ok? I'm used to removing tanks when I used to work for my dad, we would have to fill the welder and other tanks weekly, that is NO big deal to me, especially since its already in my truck and I dont have to haul it from the shop to my truck.

jchargu3: The reason I let it mess up so much was because I planned to replace it with step shavers... so I figured I'd enjoy dragging roll pan while I still can.
I will be dragging frame in the future, and the rollpan will never see ground again unless it's stationary.

Trust me bro, you won't be wanting to spend that much all the time for titanium. Yeah it sparks nice, but I can get you a whole bunch of steel to use instead for daily use. At shows and shit you can use titanium.

Titanium everyday = BROKE fast.
My plan is to add a 1/2" piece of angle between the frame ends so it is flush with the bottom of the pan.
Tap it for bolts so the titanium will bolt in when you want real bright sparks.
Also be able to bolt in your standard steel block for daily destruction.
I am not a fan of trailer balls hanging down.
