if you plan on bagging it in the future, get whats cheapest, or the same as stock if you liked those. if you bottomd out alot before, or haul any loads occasionally and need some extra lift in the back, you can go with air shocks.

I agree, if your planning on bagging it then get cheap ones, but if you are going to keep it the way it is now then get some Bilsteins they are very nice. I had them before I went and bought a set of Edelbrock IAS shocks for the front and that was a big mistake, they fucking suck ass.

buy from advanced so whatever u get has a lifetime warrenty, then u just keep the reciept and never have to buy shocks again....

i think im gonna go with the belltech nitro-drop shocks...i plan on bagging in the future but not for another 2yrs maybe cause i wanna finish school first...they are cheaper than the billsteins and ive been recommended to these from a few people...as far as carrying loads maybe once every 2months dependshow many times my sister and my cosuin move lol nah i try not to use it as much as possible.

alright well now i wanna do the front ones, but i dunno what to do...i go thru the process at summit but it gets me to the bell-tech nitro -active but i thought i had to get the drop-shocks which is what put in the back, so why for the front it says i have to get the nitro active???

Don't get nitro active... I've heard they blow massive donkey balls...

When my truck was static I had Doetsch Tech shocks and I fucking loved them.

to test your shocks do a bounce test.

go on the cornor and push if it takes more then 2 up and downs there no good.

you can also cross reference shocks. if you go to bilsteins website you can find charts with the mounting styles, and compressed and extended hights. i did this for my back shocks and found ones for a tahoe that were short enough to work. just get the part # and go to you parts store.

I had Bilsteins in the front of mine and they were fine, I blew one and thought I would try Edelbrock IAS, THEY FUCKING SUCK!!!!!!!! The front of mine is about 5 inch and the Bilsteins were fine, you can get them locally at a Autozone. The reason why I blew the first one was the lower screw that held it in ripped off the lower control arm

my OEM bilsteins lasted maybe 25k before they got softer....my hopshock helped reduce my bottoming out..then after awhile it didnt help no mo and i had to replace em in January 06

i did the bell tech andthe dropshock in the back...and i like the stiffer ride and no bottoming out but the front is squealing like a mofo..but im gobba try and cut some of the dust shield first i think that might be the problem
